About Hadrian Arts TrustHadrian Arts Trust has been set up by Lindsay Allason-Jones, Steve Chettle and Penny Grennan in order to continue promoting and developing arts activity and projects along Hadrian's Wall. The catalyst for HAT was the successful conclusion of the 5 year project, Writing on the Wall, conceived and delivered by Steve Chettle. This lay down the foundations for continued arts activity. The objectives of Hadrian Arts Trust are: To foster, promote and advance for the public benefit and education the maintenance, improvement and development of the knowledge and understanding and appreciation of the arts for the benefit of communities in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and in particular Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, which are identified with Hadrian’s Wall plus other parts of the UK and abroad which have been historically part of the Roman Empire and to provide source materials, workshops, studios, education, training, performance and exhibition facilities and resources as a public service. |
